Privacy Statement
Insurance Information Exchange (“iiX”) respects the privacy of personal information and understands the importance of keeping this information confidential and secure. We hold our privacy practices to a high standard to ensure that any information, whether it is from a current customer or someone simply browsing through the website, is kept private and secure.   iiX may collect Social Security numbers (“SSNs”) in the course of business.  We strive to protect the confidentiality and security of SSNs in our possession, custody or control by limiting access to SSNs, and maintaining reasonable safeguards to protect against their loss, misuse or unlawful disclosure.
Online Security
For all information submission, registration, login, and use of products, we establish a secure connection. Once a customer is set up to utilize our online offerings, we require Client/Server Identification and Authentication.  iiX currently employs SSL certificates from VeriSign and Thawte to encrypt transaction traffic.
Physical Security
iiX servers are centrally located at the corporate Data Center.  Both physical and network access is restricted and highly controlled.  Diverse layered firewalls with tight access control lists insulate sensitive data from unauthorized access.  External network access is regularly reviewed under Cybertrust’s Perimeter Certification and is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by an Intrusion Detection System.
Information Collected
As you browse through iiX.com, iiX will collect logging information (such as which pages you view, and what browser was used) in order to help improve and update our website.  However, no personal information about you will be collected until you request technical support or register for a service.  As you browse, your anonymity is assured.

Please note that once you request technical support, choose to register to access any of iiX.com's online offerings, request a service, or order reports from iiX.com, you will be prompted to enter personal data.  This data will allow us to provide you with the requested service.  This information may include your name, e-mail address, phone number, and/or other identifying information.  Your personal information will be treated confidentially and will not be used for any other purpose than to provide the service you have requested.  Should you need to modify this information, please contact Technical Support at 800-683-8553 and select option 7 or e-mail your request to support@iix.com.

We limit access to personal information to only those persons who must have the information to provide our products or services to our customers.  These persons are trained on the importance of safeguarding this information and must comply with internal security procedures and applicable law.  We meet strict physical, electronic, and procedural security standards to protect personal information and maintain internal procedures to maintain the safety of that information.
Information Use
Information you supply to iiX is passed only to the third party required to fulfill your requested reports.  iiX does not, and will not, pass any personal information collected through the website to any other third party.  All information provided is treated as confidential.
Cookies

iiX does not use "cookies" to store identification and authentication information (User ID/password), terminal identification or requester codes.  The only cookie utilized by iiX is within ExpressNet and only contains a Session ID.

Children
iiX does not solicit or market to children.
Privacy Acts
Motor vehicle records and certain other reports have been identified as consumer reports.  As such, use of these reports must comply with state privacy and federal statutes, which include the:
iiX strives to ensure the privacy of consumer information.  By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of iiX's Subscription Agreement, you have agreed to not disclose consumer information to a third party.  iiX does not sell personal or business information for marketing or solicitation purposes.
Storage of Business Information and Consumer Reports
In compliance with FCRA, your business identity and related consumer reports must be retained for a minimum of five years. iiX must be able to identify the end user of a consumer report to federal or state jurisdictions and upon request will provide this information to the requesting jurisdiction.
